Thank you so much to all who have reached out and sent their best wishes. It means the world to me and my family. In case you have not heard, I wanted to share what I have been going through and why I have not been on the air these last few weeks.
My PA heard a heart murmur at a routine visit a couple of months ago. The scan showed a congenital heart issue and an aneurysm. My doctors are confident it is treatable and curable, and I am completely confident in my doctors. We have a road to recovery mapped out, albeit a long road.
Each day you welcome us into your homes and your cars so we can share this music we love and the stories that help bring that music to life. Rarely are we the ones the story is about, so it’s a place I’m not entirely comfortable in. But it is a great reminder to listen to our physicians and go to the follow-up appointments. I sure am glad I did, and we caught this before it caught me. More soon. I can’t wait to be back on the air with you.
