On June 9, 1972, at the very end of a TV Pledge Break, Don Schein looked over the top of his reading glasses, directly into the camera, and whispered, "If you tune your FM radio to 89.1 MHz, you can receive WMHT-FM on the air." Aaron Heller was 16 at the time, watching channel 17 with his parents, heard this and ran to his FM Receiver and started recording. The host is Robert Montiegal, our first Program Manager
