Over 1,000 authors have visited the New York State Writers Institute in the 35 years since it was founded at UAlbany by Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist William Kennedy. Along with a visiting writers series, there is a film series, a program for young writers, community workshops and a magazine. In WMHT’s latest documentary, learn about how the Institute got started and what it has contributed to the arts community.
