Anna Mary Robert Moses was born in 1860 in Greenwich, New York. Having started as a child, she began painting in earnest in her late 70s. Grandma Moses was self-taught and described her nostalgic work as old-timey. With a love for the arts and having painted more than 1,000 pictures, Grandma Moses is an example that it is never too late to do something you love.
