The Empire State Youth Orchestra celebrates 40 years of musical excellence with an amazing concert this weekend. An ESYO alumnus and current assistant principal cellist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Kenneth Olsen ’98, returns as soloist for the Cello Concerto of Elgar. Also on the program, music of Strauss, Jr., Shostakovich, and Respighi. Music Director Carlos Agreda stopped by to tell us about the festivities.
