Troy, NY – WMHT Public Media is hosting a Bob Ross-style painting class led by Painting Bug, a Certified Ross Instructor® in Landscapes.
“Masterpiece & Mocktails” takes place on April 25th at WMHT, located at 4 Global View, Troy, NY 12180. Hands-on instruction will take place during two distinct class sessions; 9:00 am and 2:00 pm.
Artist and owner of Ballston Spa’s Painting Bug Studio, Janice Hotaling, will lead each session in a painting demonstration of the Bob Ross classic work “Spring Mountain.” Participants will create a Bob Ross masterpiece of their own while enjoying a specially-crafted mocktail.
"I’m thrilled to partner with WMHT to carry on Bob Ross’s legacy of joy and creativity right where it belongs on PBS,” said Painting Bug’s Janice Hotaling. “Bob was all about spreading the joy of painting and I’m honored to be able to teach his wet-on-wet technique to help people find their creative side."
Tickets are now available through a donation of $10/month or a one-time contribution of $120. All proceeds benefit WMHT’s programs and services.
“WMHT is proud to offer an opportunity for our community to come together in a fun and creative way,” said WMHT Public Media President and CEO Anthony V. Hayes. “This is the true power of public media; to share and celebrate the arts and culture that moves us and makes us.”
