Watch Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 1pm on WMHT TV.

ON HOME GROUND, takes an intimate look into the lives of three veterans who returned home to the Adirondacks after deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, and asks the question, after all the sacrifice, when does home finally feel like home again?

ON HOME GROUND takes us on a journey of re-assimilation into civilian life with veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars living along the Adirondack Mountains of northern New York. Their small hometowns are scenic and peaceful, but also remote and isolating. The physical distance means limited access to essentials like healthcare, and a struggling local economy contributes to the widespread unemployment for veterans.

Years after coming back, each vet reflects on their homecoming, rebuilding relationships, grappling with physical and mental changes, and finding a unique, grounding camaraderie among fellow veterans.
