Mehul Trivedi, MD, FACS
Dr. Mehul Trivedi, is a bariatric surgeon with St. Peter's Healthcare Services.  Dr. Trivedi is board-certified by the American Board of Surgeons. He has performed more than 600 bariatric procedures laparoscopically. Dr. Trivedi completed

his general surgery residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He has completed fellowship training in foregut and bariatric surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He also completed bariatric and minimally invasive fellowships at the Pennsylvania State University Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He has served as a staff surgeon in the U.S. Navy. He performed a high volume and wide variety of advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgeries at Kettering Medical Center in Ohio.



Judy Carr, MS, RD, CDE CDN

Judy Carr is a registered dietitian who has worked at Saratoga Hospital for 16 years, the past 10 years a Certified Diabetes Educator.  She coordinates the hospital's Diabetes Self-Management Education Program and serves as the outpatient nutrition educator.



James Desemone, MD

Jim Desemone, MD is the Director of Medical Staff Quality at Ellis Medicine. He also provides care for our hospital patients as an experienced endocrinologist and respected diabetes expert.  Dr Desemone is board-certified in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism and in Internal Medicine.  For more than 20 years, Dr Desemone has been engaged as a physician, instructor, and researcher. Before coming to Ellis two years ago, Dr Desemone was an Attending Physician in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Albany Medical Center for more than 13 years, and also Director of AMC’s Goodman Diabetes Service. Prior to that, he belonged to endocrinology private practices, and was also an attending Physician at University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Dr Desemone has been continuously involved in quality and process improvement initiatives.  Dr Desemone  earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the State University of New York’s Upstate Medical Center, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Physics from Canisius College.  He is a member of the American College of Physician Executives and the American Diabetes Association, and is on the Board of Chancellors of the local chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
