WMHT Educational Telecommunications Official Contest Rules

Eligibility

Contest entrants must be at least 18 years old or older and a resident of the New York, Vermont, or Massachusetts. This contest is sponsored by WMHT Educational Telecommunications, 4 Global View, Troy NY 12180. Employees, board members and advisory committee members of WMHT and WEXT, and their respective household members are not eligible. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.

How to Enter

No purchase or contribution is necessary. Of course, we appreciate contributions, but sending a contribution will not affect your chances of winning any contest sponsored by WMHT. If you have made a contribution to WMHT, you have automatically been entered into the contest. If you would like to enter the contest without a contribution, please email your first & last name, address and daytime phone to membership@wmht.org

Everyone who makes an online donation in any amount on wmht.org OR who calls 800-285-6648 during the Entry Period, is automatically entered, provided that the entrant has included the required information: his or her complete name, address, daytime phone number, and e-mail address. Entries performed before or after the Entry Period are void. Limit one entry per person for each Entry Period, regardless of day or method of Entry. Incomplete entries are void.

Entries received outside of the Entry Period, when no drawing is in effect, are void. Incomplete entries are also void.

Entry Period

All contest Entry Periods are announced on air on WMHT-TV, WMHT-FM, or WEXT Radio. More information will be provided by calling WMHT at 518-880-3400, Monday to Friday (excluding holidays), 9am to 4pm.

Contest Prize Descriptions

WMHT contest prizes promoted on WMHT TV, WMHT FM, WEXT Radio, WMHT.ORG range from concert tickets to autographed artist memorabilia to travel. All taxes on any prize, including but not limited to Federal, State and local income and sales taxes, and any expense not explicitly covered (including but not limited to expenses related to the use of any prize, such as airfare) are the responsibility of the winner. The value of each prize is determined by prize donor's suggested retail price or by what the prize is currently known to be selling for at the time the offer was published and is subject to change. Prizes are not redeemable for cash or transferable. WMHT reserves the right to offer prize substitutions per the discretion of WMHT managers.

Selection of Winner

Winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. There will be one winner selected for each prize offered. Prize drawing will be conducted by WMHT. Drawing will be conducted within 10 business days of the Entry Period deadline. The winner will be notified by phone and must be available to accept prize within one business day of being contacted. Failure to reach winner by phone in this noted time will result in disqualification of the winner and an alternate winner will be selected.

The winner will be required to sign and execute an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release, an Official Prize Acceptance Form and where legal, a Publicity Release, within 14 days of notification attempt. Failure to return the Affidavit or Acceptance Form, or both, in the time noted will result in disqualification of the winner and an alternate winner will be selected

Odds of Winning

Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Entry constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use the winner’s name, hometown and likeness for publicity purposes without additional compensation.

Limit of Entry

Limit one entry per person for the entire Entry Period. An email address may only be used once and not for multiple entrants or entries for this contest. By entering, entrant acknowledges compliance with these official rules including all eligibility requirements. WMHT is not responsible for failures in technology such as but not limited to: technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any Web site or online service, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, or misdirected entries. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. No copies, facsimiles or reproductions of the online contest entry form will be accepted. Proof of e-mailing and/or mailing does not constitute proof of delivery or receipt.

Other Important Points

By entering, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Contest Rules. By entering the Contest, entrants release WMHT and its employees, officers, trustees and agents from any liability, including personal injury or property damage, with respect or related to the receipt or use of any prize awarded. WMHT makes no, and disclaims, all warranties, guarantees or representations, express or implied, concerning the condition, quality, merchantability, of any prize.
