When he was barely a teen, Johann Sebastian Bach used to copy out organ works by his idol Dieterich Buxtehude. He even once walked 200 miles to meet and hear a performance by Buxtehude. Peter Sykes performs a program of music by Bach & Buxtehude as part of the Berkshire Bach Society season, and spoke with us about the intersection of these 2 masters.
