REGISTERNOW to motivate your students with lessons learned from one of the most important movements in American history! Project C: Lessons from the American Civil Rights Movement is a three-year series of electronic field trips occurring throughout the civil rights fiftieth anniversary years of 2013-2015.
Project C will focus on the role of citizenship in a democracy through the study of historical events. It will examine the past to teach the importance of civic engagement in support of a humane, civil and just society.
In addition to a wealth of historical resources, contemporary issues will be addressed by student reporters and student community leaders to identify what civil rights mean today.
The October 29th field trip will consist of two 30-minute webcasts containing pre-produced and live content. The pre-produced content will be identical for both webcasts but the live, interactive portion will be unique to each webcast. Registration for the field trip will enable you to access and participate in either one or both webcasts.
PARTICIPATE in these live, interactive webcasts to engage your students in a dynamic democracy!
REGISTER today to show your students that enthusiasm, commitment and resolve result in positive change!
