 In just one generation, we have seen a virtual explosion of new demands on our society. We have witnessed stunning technological changes and watched as schools struggled to win the minds of students in a speeding, high-tech world.
WMHT is committed to bringing all the advantages of digital television and radio to our region with the same focus on quality that has always been its hallmark. To accomplish this mission, WMHT must develop a new, state-of-the-art broadcast facility.

 My
three-year old's favorite program is Clifford. My four-year old loves
Clifford and Sesame Street too, and my middle children, who are in 4th
and 5th grade, enjoy WMHT programs such as Cyber Chase, The Homework
Hotline and Zoom. In the evening, my husband and I enjoy programs like Charlie Rose and The NewsHour, as well as specials such as Jazz and the Eyes on the Prize series. I think that WMHT offers diverse choices. I find that WMHT's programs reinforce a lot of the things that we teach our children every day: to enjoy books, to access information, and to value diversity. changes created crucial new communications needs in our community. What
we have learned in one generation is that no other medium is able to
fulfill this critical need in every home, and every classroom, with the
scope and power of public broadcasting.
