TvFILM at WMHT is looking for the very finest, unique and original independently made short films upstate New York has to offer.  From professionals to students and everyone in between, we want to see your film! Starting this June and continuing in a six-episode series, TvFILM, will air selected short films and spotlight the filmmakers from our region who created them. In addition, TvFILM will profile the people, places and events that are shaping our growing independent film and media community!

 
How does it work?
TvFILM will air short films selected by our panel of judges along with an interview of the filmmakers to discuss the inspiration, ideas and concepts behind their work.  Filmmakers will be compensated $50.00 per minute of their film that is broadcast on-air.  They will also be invited to participate in a premiere screening of all selected short films at the WMHT Studios on Saturday May 17, 2008.  Think of it, your short film on your public broadcasting station being shown to an audience of almost a half-million people!

This is where you come in!  The call for entries is open until March 31^st.  Don't wait - submit today!  Please click on the following links to review eligibility & submission requirements and the official entry form. Then print out and complete an entry form, include a filmmaker bio, synopsis of the film and send them along with a copy of your short film on DVD to:
