Feature #1 - Care Teams

We're all very fortunate that our region is filled with people who volunteer in so many ways.  But many people are hesitant because they feel they may not have the time. Well Care Teams solves that problem.

FURTHER INFORMATION
The Care Teams are a unique way of providing services to seniors through a group of four to seven volunteers, known as a care team.

People who want information about volunteering for the care team program can contact Susan Taylor, Care Team Coordinator at the Eddy Visiting Nurse Association (518) 270-1355 taylors@nehealth.com

Feature #2 - Washington City Transportation

Who doesn't love to be independent - get in our cars and drive wherever we have to go?  But as we age driving becomes more difficult and for the first time in our lives we face the problem of not having our own transportation to get places.  And if you live in a rural community the problem increases even more.  But in Washington County one small community church did something about it.

FURTHER INFORMATION:
The Washington City Transportation service is a rural program, started by Don Brooks, to meet a need in the neighborhood.

Anyone in the Greenwich area in need of the service can contact Shirley Robertson at (518) 692-7901.  To request more information about the program call Don Brooks at (518) 692-2198.

Contributing Segment - Belly Dancers
