TOPIC: Integrative Medicine
The mind, body and soul all have profound effects on our health and well-being. That is why the practice of integrated medicine is on the rise. It is not an alternative to traditional western medicine. Rather, it combines the best of traditional and complementary medical practices. Integrative Medicine assumes an equal partnership between patient and practitioner in the healing process. It focuses on the body's innate healing response, and considers all factors of the patient's life, including mental, spiritual, and community influences and belief systems as well as the physiological. We'll also learn about Reiki.
