TOPIC: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

On the next Health Link we'll examine the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. COPD is a term that encompasses the lung disorders of emphysema and chronic bronchitis. COPD affects 16 million Americans, and will claim the lives of 119 thousand this year alone. While living with lung disease isn't easy, good management can greatly improve the quality of your life. We'll meet a couple of COPD patients who are breathing a little easier thanks to exercise.
