progressive and deadly neurological disorder. People stricken

ST. PETER'S ALS REGIONAL CENTER
St.
Peter's ALS Regional Center was established in 1988 to provide people
with ALS and their families with a comprehensive and specialized blend
of services and resources. The Center provides both a medical and
emotional system of support to help maintain quality of life throughout
the course of the disease. The ALS Regional Center is staffed
with an ALS interdisciplinary team comprised of representatives from
the Hospital's medical staff and St. Peter's Rehabilitation Center. The
team includes a physiatrist, neurologist, pulmonologist,
gastroenterologist, psychiatrist, social worker, nurses, physical
therapist, occupational therapist and speech pathologist.

THE ALS ASSOCIATION
The
ALS Association relentlessly pursues its mission to help people living
with ALS and to leave no stone unturned in search for the cure of the
progressive neurodegenerative disease that took the life and name of
Baseball Legend Lou Gehrig. As the only not-for-profit voluntary
health agency dedicated solely to the fight against ALS, they direct
the largest privately-funded research enterprise engaged to uncover the
