If you had Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder as a child, there's a good chance you may still suffer its effects. As many as 8 Million adults have ADHD. It is sometimes viewed as a "hidden disorder" because the signs are often obscured by problems with relationships, organization, employment or mood disorders. Attention Deficit & Related Disorders Community of New York is a self help
group whose primary focus is to address and meet the needs of the ADHD community
living and working in upstate NY and surrounding areas. Their mission is the
pursuit of enhancing, empowering, encouraging and educating the lives of those
who are dealing with ADHD personally or professionally. The group focuses on the
positive aspects of having ADHD and how to live productive lives. They seek to
educate all and eliminate misconceptions the general non-ADHD population has
about ADHD. The support group meets twice a month at 727 Madison Ave Albany, NY.
The first Thursday is for ADD Adults and the third Thursday is for parents of
