Volunteer opportunities exist through a variety
of events as well as on an ongoing basis. You can play a special role
at WMHT and truly make a difference with your time, energy, and
expertise.
Review the many ways you can get involved:
- TV & Radio Pledge Campaigns - WMHT's television and radio
membership drives are special times in our on-air schedules when
supporters phone in and make a donation, and volunteers answering these
calls are critical to our success. Campaigns are scheduled in March,
June, August and November/December.
- Auction - WMHT conducts two televised auctions during the year -
The Holiday Auction, and The Great TV Auction. These
national award-winning events offer fast-paced fun for individuals and
groups. Opportunities range from answering telephones to picking
up merchandise.
- RISE Readers - WMHT maintains a 24-hour a day radio reading service
for the blind and print disabled. Learn more about auditioning for a
volunteer reader position in our Rise section.
- Office Support - Lend your administrative skills to a variety of
projects during daytime hours at the WMHT studios. Whether making
telephone calls, assisting with a major mailing, taking on an exciting
leadership role, or just pitching in where needed, office volunteers
are always a tremendous asset to WMHT.
