The 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio begin August 6, but we’re having our own competition as we’re counting down the 250 greatest classical compositions of all time. By the time we reach No. 1 on Saturday afternoon when we award the gold medal to the greatest classical composition ever, we hope to have raised at least $30,000 from at least 300 listeners in support of the music that you love.

You love the music, you like short fundraising campaigns, so let’s make this a week to remember. Please call 1-800-285-9648 or contribute here. Thank you.

What classical compositions do you think should make the countdown? Let us know in the comments:
