NEW TANGLEWOOD TALES: LIFE ON STAGE AND OFF is a behind-the-scenes documentary series that chronicles the professional and personal lives of five musicians over the course of their summer season at Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO). Cellist Owen Young, bassoonist Suzanne Nelsen, violist Cathy Basrak, trumpeter Mike Martin, timpanist Tim Genis and assistant conductor Ken-David Masur share their approaches to rehearsal, teaching and coaching at the Tanglewood Music Center, as well as how they manage their careers and family lives. Throughout the six episodes, NEW TANGLEWOOD TALES offers a glimpse into the world of classically trained musicians for a summer sojourn filled with music at Tanglewood.
