![]() Beginning January 2007, WMHT will award a student of the month to one student (elementary, middle school, high school, college or adult education/GED program) in our viewing area, who has outstanding skills or has made a contribution to the community. Teachers and community leaders are asked to nominate students by submitting a brief description using the nomination form on the right. Winners will be highlighted with spots on both radio and TV, in Outlook, on WMHT’s web pages and in Teacher and Member Newsletters. WMHT Students of the Month will be invited, along with their parents or guardians, to a luncheon at the Winifred Touhey Public Broadcasting Center in June 2007. WMHT TEACHER OF THE MONTH The Teacher of the Month would be awarded to one teacher each month from our viewing area, beginning January 2007, who is using media/technology in the classroom and has made an impact on students’ learning. Students and colleagues would be encouraged to nominate teachers who meet the criteria.
Winners of the Teacher of the Month will be highlighted in the same manner as student winners. In addition, WMHT will host a special recognition luncheon at the end of June, honoring all winners. |
