Adult Learners

Oct.-Dec. Adult Learning TV Schedule | • GED Programs | • Local Resources

WMHT works in cooperation with the New York State Education Department, the Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) and other education agencies to provide adults the chance to earn a high school diploma, develop literacy skills, focus on career skills or learn English as a Second Language (ESL).

By watching adult learning programs like GED Connection, Workplace Essential Skills, or TV 411, students can study when their schedules allow. These programs offer a supplement to classroom instruction provided at local adult learning centers. Free episodes of GED Connection and Workplace Essential Skills will also soon be available on demand through VITAL New York; these and other literacy resources are also available through ThinkBright. Additionally, PBS LiteracyLink provides quality adult basic education tools for students and teachers.
