Biotechnology Digital Media Collection

Although biotechnology is one of the fastest growing fields, it is not always fully integrated into middle and high school science curricula. Biotechnology impacts our lives on a daily basis, from the drugs we take to the food we eat and to the jobs we do. The new Biotechnology Digital Media Collection is now available on VITAL NY on Teachers Domain. Find digital video and interactives that explore laboratory techniques used in biotechnology for treating disease and improving diagnosis. In addition, video profiles of biotechnology scientists and technicians offer students compelling examples of available career pathways into the field.

By age four, children who live in underserved families will have heard 32 million fewer words than children living in professional families. In response to this word gap, Sesame Street  presents the "What's the Word on the Street?" campaign, which aims to excite children and their caregivers about literacy and language.
