On Tuesday, March 31, New York's 20th Congressional District held a special election to fill the U.S. House of Representatives seat left open with the appointment of Kirsten Gillibrand to the U.S. Senate.
The candidates in this special election were Jim Tedisco, the Republican candidate, Scott Murphy, the Democratic candidate and Eric Sundwall, the Libertarian candidate.
All three candidates were invited to participate in a live candidate forum on WMHT on Thursday, March 19 at 7:30 p.m., sponsored by WMHT and The Times Union.
The forum was moderated by Susan Arbetter, former host of WMHT's award-winning public affairs program, 'New York Now,' and Times Union State Editor Casey Seiler.
