"In a world where you need a dollar to catch a dollar, everyone deserves a helping hand to lift themselves up."

From Gayle Ferraro, To Catch A Dollar: Muhammad Yunus Banks On America is the inspiring, logic-defying yet true story of one man’s idea, a strange new kind of bank, and the millions of lives it changed. The film follows Nobel Peace Prize winner Professor Muhammad Yunus as he brings his unique and revolutionary microfinance program, Grameen America, to the U.S. and its first women borrowers.

Whether starting a catering business while maintaining a full-time job or a single parent looking to expand her hair-styling services or working to adapt a loan structure born in rural villages to the busy streets of Queens, each woman experiences enormous life changes and challenges. Yet, they begin to realize their own potential. These inspiring entrepreneurs learn to rise from poverty by starting and growing their own sustainable businesses, fueled by the power of a model that offers support, encouragement, community and non-collateral microloans.
