Journey inside E Prep, an academically rigorous charter school in Cleveland, Ohio, as seen through the eyes and experiences of Tyree — a struggling 7th grader who possesses equal parts charm and smarts. By connecting with Tyree, as well as with his teachers and family, learn about the complex and sometimes overwhelming challenges facing those involved in urban education. 

Facing Forward: A Student's Story raises questions that contribute to an important national discussion, including: What roles do students, parents and the community need to play to partner in this future-focused effort? And, how can students living in chaos pursue their goals and overcome the complexity of their young lives?
