People of all ages and from all parts of the world write about their thoughts and experiences every day in journals, diaries, and blogs. Anne Frank, a young German girl who lived during World War II, was one of them. Since her death, millions have read her diary which tells the story of her family’s experience hiding from the Nazis. If you and your students are reading her diary this summer, be sure to explore the blended lesson plan below which can help students deepen their understanding of Frank’s writing, while strengthening their own literacy skills.
