Gifs + Videos = Zeega
Last Updated by
How can your students feel freer to communicate digitally what’s hard to express in writing? Zeega – named after the early 19th century Russian cinéma vérité filmmaker Dziga Vertov – is a platform for organizing media from around the Internet to create interactive stories about anything in the world. From crazy cats to remixed film clips, Zeega enables users to practice the craft of storytelling in a new, dynamic, digital way.
In this episode of KQED’s Art School, Zeega's creators talk about the tool and how it can be used to express emotion in genuine ways, much more uniquely than today’s social media allows. Use this lesson to help your students create their own Zeega using GIFs from around the Internet, original content, music and text. WATCH: http://to.pbs.org/1P71FLU
