"What difference does one vote make?"
"They're not even talking about what matters to me."
"They're all the same."
These are common excuses used for not voting. #citizenactive would like to offer some reasons why you should vote in New York's primary elections on Thursday, September 13th. One vote is the difference between winning and losing. They're not going to talk about your issues if you don't vote. And there are significant differences between the candidates. It does matter who wins.
The people behind the League of Women Voters of New York State (and yes, men can join. I asked) are dedicated to making it easier for everyone to vote. They also publish an annual Voting Guide to help you learn about the candidates and with information on where and when you vote.
