Having won the hearts of viewers nationwide in their first three specials — Il Volo Takes Flight, We Are Love and their enchanting Christmas special Buon Natale, the charming trio is back with a new television concert special that is sure to delight their fans. Shot with the incredible archaeological ruins of Pompeii as its stunning backdrop, IL VOLO: LIVE FROM POMPEII features Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble performing classic Italian favorites in the ancient amphitheater at Pompeii. Originally built in 80 BC and buried in the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD, the amphitheater hasn’t been the setting for a concert since Pink Floyd last performed there in 1972. IL VOLO: LIVE FROM POMPEII is part of special programming premiering on WMHT in August 2015.

Paying homage to their home in Italy, the music repertoire of Il Volo’s one-of-a-kind concert includes specially arranged classic Italian favorites plus new originals, including their single “Grande Amore.” Backed by an orchestra and rhythm section in front of a live audience, the trio sings together in one of the most iconic landmarks from their home country. They remain, as always, in perfect harmony: “three voices, one soul.”

IL VOLO: LIVE FROM POMPEII features these performances:

•    “Grande Amore”
•    “L’Immensita”
•    “Piove”
•    “La Vita”
•    “Volare”
•    “Quando L’amore Diventa Poesia”
•    “Io Che Non Vivo”
•    “La Vita è Bella”
•    “Eternally”
•    “Recuerdame”
